I was putting all of the stuff I have coming up on my calender for April and May and realized that I'm like the most busy person ever...well except for like Ryan Seacrest but no one's as busy as him.

Angela and Dan's wedding has taken over my life and I'm not even officially in the wedding! Granted it's all fun stuff that I don't mind at all but there are just a lot of dates and things to do. I'm going to all 3 showers so that eats up 3 Sundays in April/May. The other ones are going to work since apparently I have to start working weekends at Glen Haven again. There are 2 bachelorette parties, one of which I'm planning so I've been working on that a lot. Plus then the rehearsal dinner and the actual wedding itself. And I'm sure I'll be helping a lot with other preparations. Again, all really fun stuff but just a lot to do. I can't even imagine how Angela must be feeling.

School has become all consuming. I hate when professors give you a really light first half of the semester and then pack everything in the last half. I'd rather just have an equal load the whole semester. So I'm getting down to crunch time with all my projects and stuff. But once, this semester is over, I only have 8 classes left to take which amounts to 2 this summer, 3 in the fall and 3 in the spring. I am so excited to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel because for a while it felt like all of this was for nothing.

I decided I'm going up to the cabin whenever I can this summer. One of my summer classes is online and the other only goes until mid June so I'm pretty free during the summer. Which means cabin. Enough said.

I got offered a nannying job 2 days a week this summer for the family that I babysit for. I really want to take it but I don't know what that would mean for my job at Washburn McReavy. I still need to be able to work here in the fall but I definitely need a mental break from this place. In sitting through all these business classes I finally realize that no one in a position of power at this company has a clue what they're doing. The company for real needs a total makeover in how they operate. But anyway, I'll probably take the nanny job and just work less at Washburn McReavy and they'll just have to deal.

I can't believe it's the end of March already.

The last few weeks have been ridiculously busy with school and work and life in general. I constantly feel like I'm behind and missing out on things. I really don't remember the last time I had a substantial conversation with any of my friends except Riki. I guess I just feel like I'm missing out on things because I have so many commitments and all of them are a priority.

That said, spring break next week is much needed. I really just want to get away and hunker down up at the cabin all week...but of course I would have to work because I definitely need the money. So I'm just taking Friday off and going up Thursday night until Sunday. I am way excited to do nothing for 3 whole days.

So if I've blown you off or cancelled plans in the last three weeks, I apologize but promise there was a really good reason for it.

Did the marriage bug suddenly up and bite everyone I know?

In the last week, 2 of my friends have gotten engaged. I swear more people that I know have gotten engaged or married in the last year than I can even keep track of.

While I am extremely happy for all of them, I can't decide if this makes me depressed that I don't have a someone to share my life with or relieved that I don't feel the need to settle down at 22.

(I'm not judging, simply contemplating.)

*edit*
So I actually made a conscious effort to count and I counted at least 25 people I know from either high school, elementary school, cottey or elsewhere that have been engaged or married in the last year.

I decided I need to start keeping up with LJ more. Even though not a lot happens in my life other than random ordinary day to day things, it would still be good. So I suppose I'll start with the Thursday before Christmas as that's when my Christmas marathon event started.

Thursday I went to the Aveda Institute to get my hair trimmed as I think it's completely ridiculous to go to my girl at Juut and pay $65 for a trim. So I go there and I tell them that I want the same thing I have, only shorter and to take the weight out of it. You could totally tell that I was one of the students' first clients as she would get the scissors right up to my hair, look at it and then say "I better go get my instructor." Which is fine, I know that when I go there that they're students and I've never gotten a completely ridiculous haircut from them before and I'm glad that she would rather check with her instructor before hacking away at my hair. So anyway, the student did a great job in my opinion. When she has her instructor come over to check it at the end, she says "Oh, I'm just going to clean up some of these layers" and proceeds to completely hack away half of my hair. Now most would say, "Why wouldn't you just stop her right there?" Well, as most people who have had bad haircuts know, it all just happens so fast. She had ruined my hair in about 3 minutes flat and I could do nothing but sit there in shock. She was like Edward fucking Scissorhands with those scissors.....there was literally hair flying around the station. Now, I will give her credit for making it look decent when I walked out of there so I really didn't have anything to complain about right at that moment. But when I got home, washed my hair and started styling it myself, I saw the tiny little 1/2 inch pieces of hair at the top of my head that stuck out like I was frickin Alfalfa from Little Rascals. I literally just stood in the mirror and started crying. There was nothing that could be done about it and I didn't dare go back and ask them to fix it because they would only cut it shorter. Thankfully, my mom had an appointment with our girl at Juut that night so she called me when she was there and told me to come in so Charmaine could try and do something. And that she did. I don't know how she did it, but it looked 1000 times better when I left there and now I guess I just have to let it grow out. (I realize that has nothing to do with the holidays but it was a big thing that happened that week.)

Friday I worked all day and then went over to my aunt's for my little cousin/goddaughter's birthday party. She was cooking Chinese food and was all afraid that her fried rice wouldn't turn out so I had to help her make it. So I pretty much was over there all night.

Saturday I was scheduled to work at Glen Haven from 8-4:30 and then go straight to Christmas with the Starks' at my uncle's house. Well it started snowing as soon as I got to work at 8 and didn't stop all day. So finally Sr. called and said that we all had to stay until 3:30 and then we were free to go. So my dad came and met me out there so I didn't have to drive in the horrendous weather all the way out to Maple Grove. Christmas with the Stark's was good. We played some cards, opened presents (I got a $50 gift card from my uncle for my computer and $50 from the grandparents), ate dinner (beef stroganoff, which is a really random Christmas dinner), played lots more cards and headed home. My favorite part of the night was listening to my cousin, Callie. She's kind of an airhead and doesn't think before she speaks so as we're talking about "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" she proceeds to announce in front of everyone "I am DEFINITELY NOT smarter than a 5th grader!" Keep in mind that she is a freshman in college. Funniest thing ever.

Sunday I worked again from 9-3 and then went home to get ready for our St. Charles dinner. We got there and chatted until Rachel finished getting dinner ready, had a good laugh about how mean we used to be to Julia, gossiped about other random St. Charles people, opened gifts (I got the book Multiple Bles8ings which is the Jon and Kate Plus 8 book and a pair of earrings from Riki), gossiped some more and then called it a night. It's really nice to see all of them more often than we used to and it still amazes me after all that we've been through and all the time apart we've spent that we can get together and still get along like no time has passed at all.

Monday I worked all day and then me and my brothers headed downtown to Macy's to meet my grandparents and cousins from the Stark side to do our annual Macy's display and dinner at the Oak Grill Room. It was fun other than the fact that my grandma needs to make a scene about something everytime we go out in public. This year she had a fit that the restaurant didn't have honey butter to go with the popovers (which she's had a fit about every year for the last 10 years since they got rid of the honey butter but she still expects them to have it for her) and also because when we went down to the candy counter at 9:15, it was closed for the night, which isn't that ridiculous since the store closes at 10 and I doubt that the candy counter really gets that much business past like 8.

Tuesday I had the whole day off which was much needed. I hardcore cleaned my room and got ready to have the girls over for our gift exchange party. That was also fun. We just kind of hung out, caught up on everything and opened gifts. Cheyenne got me a really cute black and silver zebra print scarf from Express and a bottle of pomegranate martini (my favorite!). It was funny though because Kelly got Cheyenne the same scarf that I got both in black and turquoise and Jami got Kelly the scarf in turquoise. Kelly also got this little mechanical hampster that runs on a wheel. I got Riki 2 books and a little fish keychain light, and Riki got Jami a little whizzer liquor dispenser where its like a little naked boy that pees out liquor. It was pretty hilarious.

Wednesday I worked until about noon and then my family and I headed down to my grandparents on the Stark side for Christmas Eve. We ate dinner and played a few rounds of Sequence and then went to church. I was pissed because my grandpa always sings "O Holy Night" on Christmas Eve at his church and this year he didn't let him do it as a solo...I mean he sung the verses by himself but then the whole choir would sing the chorus, which is totally the best part when he sings it as a solo. After church, we went back to my grandparent's, played a few more games of Sequence and then drove home.

Thursday morning we all woke up and opened presents. I got a $200 gift card for my computer, a mini flat iron for my (now) short hair, a pair of black Converse All-Stars, a pair of Chanel sunglasses and a day-by-day calender of designer shoes. Then we got ready and headed to my aunt's in Hudson for Christmas with the Ranallo's. Both of my cousins that live far away were there which was cool because we hardly ever get to see them and their wives. We hung out for a while and got dinner ready, ate, cleaned up, opened presents (I got a bunch of fun things for my nails from my grandma because she was all excited that I finally stopped biting my nails and a $100 gift card for my computer from my aunt and cousin and from the gift exchange I got some cooking stuff which is always cool), hung out some more and then played Farkle for a while. Then the fam and I packed it up and headed to the cabin for the weekend.

The cabin was fun. Thursday night we watched Step Brothers which is hilarious. Friday my dad and brothers were out ice fishing all day and my mom and I made chex mix, I read my whole Jon and Kate book, we watched a lot of food network and I did lots of sudoku. We made dinner when the boys got home and then spent all night watching half of the second season of Weeds. Saturday the boys went fishing again although they got a later start. My mom and I did a lot of nothing again. We watched the Secret Garden and some other lame movie on ABC Family. She made chili for dinner. The boys got home and Marty had caught a 30 inch lake trout that was a beast of a fish. We had dinner and finished watching the second season of Weeds and then watched The Dark Knight. Sunday we packed up and went home.

All in all, my Christmas marathon was lots of fun and I'm excited that my computer is pretty much half paid for now. I just want to get my books paid for for next semester now so I can buy the computer since my laptop gave me the dreaded blue screen and pooped out on me last week. Totally tragic.

Hope everyone else had a great Christmas and has a fun New Year!

I suppose it's time for another update since things are a' changin in my life. I got a kind of promotion at work. They fired the site manager at Crystal Lake so they wanted me to come over and help out with things until they got everything back on track. I didn't get a raise or anything but I'm learning lots of new things so I guess I won't be as bored as I have been the past few weeks. The only downside is having to work at Crystal Lake again. And they just named the new site manager and he's the dumbest guy in the whole company. So that should be a fun transition. And apparently I now qualify for a 401K which I was super excited about. So i signed up for that this week as well. So I guess all things considered with the economy and job market I'm pretty lucky with my job situation. It's not my dream job by any means but at least I know that they like me and know what I can do so if things still suck when I graduate, I know I'll have a job here because people are gonna keep dying no matter what. (I know that sounds horrible but working here will make you immune to death.)

I registered for spring classes on Wednesday and I'm going to be a busy, busy girl come January. I bumped my class schedule up to 4 classes instead of 3. But I'm finishing up all the general requirement ones that Metro State requires so they're mostly not concerned with my degree at all. And I'm super bummed that I have to take another Saturday class but it was pretty much the only time they offered it since I still have to keep my MWF schedule at work. So I have Management Information Systems on Monday night, Gender and Culture on Tuesday night, History of the Holocaust on Thursday afternoon, and Biology of Women on Saturday mornings. I really am just annoyed that my science trasferred to all the other schools I've been at but not Metro State. And then they have stupid requirements that I had to fulfill called Human Diversity in the US and Global Awareness. So that's where the Gender and Culture and Holocaust class fall. But it's just irritating that they couldn't be waived since I already have an associate's degree. I guess that's about all for now, just thought I'd give a quick little update on me for the few people on here who might still read about me!
